Luis Padilla
Born in Santiago in 1950, he benefited from an excellent public, free education. At age fifteen, he joined the Spartacus League, participating in literacy and political education of workers. Trained in Economics, during the presidency of Salvador Allende he served as Director of the Public Debt Department in the Government of Chile. Exiled to Canada, after “recycling” himself in Business Administration at Laval University, he developed a career in Human Resources, Marketing, General Management, Public Service and Teaching. During his last three years of his “daytime career,” he served as an Investigator for the Pay Equity Commission.
