Alternate Graduation for McGill Students
Alternate Graduation for McGill Students

Community Square
in front of James Admin on McGill Campus!
Are you looking for something different than the pomp and circumstance of the official McGill graduation ceremony? There will be speakers, food, and fun! Bring your families, friends, and loved ones!
In light of our graduation being moved to the Bell Centre and the lack of student consultation in McGill ongoings over the course of the year, we are organizing what we will call a “Graduation Speciale” on campus the weekend of the convocation ceremonies. This ceremony will aim to steer away from bureaucratic rites of passage -- receiving diplomas, being pat on the head, etc -- and instead will celebrate and reflect upon the meaning of our education. We hope to include many voices from the community of individuals who have contributed to our education and our experience. It should be a place of celebration and inspiration, welcome to all students, their families, and friends.
If you would like to help out, e-mail grad.speciale@gmail.com
Speakers list and special guests forthcoming! There will be a brief open-mic period - if you are interested in speaking please e-mail us.
