National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women
On December 6th 1989 a lone gunman assasinated 14 women and injured 14 others. Now 30 years later – across Canada and Québec – we remember and honour the victims of this anti-feminist attack. This is a dark day in Canadian history and it is important to remember this hateful crime and hold our sisters close. We must make every effort to ensure that this doesn’t ever happen again and that all women and girls are respected, are at liberty to pursue their education and dreams in safety and without fear.
